ROASTER OPERATOR

As a Roaster Operator, your primary responsibility is to execute the roasting schedule of green beans into cooked beans. This is a critical process that will require your undivided attention to ensure every batch is roasted with precision and accuracy. While reporting directly to the shift supervisor, you will interface with other functions such as quality assurance, manufacturing engineer, and quality control. This position requires effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, achieving and maintaining roasting efficiency, and most importantly an unwavering dedication to safety and the quality of the roasted coffee beans.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are recruiting a Sales Representative who will strive to communicate and achieve sales and profit goals. We are looking for a person who is thirsty for sales? this job is competitive, we offer an excellent base pay, plus a competitive bonus potential, and a car for business purposes.
You will be responsible for seeking, acquiring and maintaining a profitable customer base through the strategic and creative sales of coffee, tea and related allied products. You will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts in Central/Northern Massachusetts or the North Shore of MA up the coast to NH and also aggressively call upon new accounts. The coffee industry is changing, you will need to be keenly aware of the competitive situation and submit reports on data regarding new products, selling tactics and pricing.

QUALITY MANAGER – MALDEN PLANT

Job Description:

This position manages the overall total quality process of our operations, including, but not necessarily limited to:

 

  1. Ensure the facility and processes meet or exceed all customer and regulatory requirements.
  2. Help implement and maintain Global Food Safety Initiative certification, such as SQF and BRC.
  3. Lead and manage an internal quality audit program.
  4. Lead customer, regulatory and third party audits/inspections, helping ensure their successful completion.
  5. Document, manage and maintain customer and internal specifications. Write and update as needed specifications for new and existing products.
  6. Assist in root cause problem analysis and implementation of corrective action to operational issues.
  7. Identify areas of improvement and lead effective corrective action.
  8. Help develop and implement statistical process control.
  9. Analyze customer feedback to determine effective corrective action.
  10. Assist in the development, writing and maintaining of process control points.
  11. Lead and manage the HACCP program.
  12. Assist in the writing and implementation of SOPS and SSOPS.
  13. Manage the document control process.
  14. Walk facility daily with operational management noting any quality related issues on the floor.
  15. Oversee sanitation and pest control programs.
  16. Lead direct reports to successful completion of their tasks and personal development.
  17. Help lead the operation in continuous improvement.
  18. Help teach, coach and mentor in Quality and Continuous Improvement.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science, food microbiology, microbiology, biology, chemistry or closely related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of Quality leadership experience in a Food, OTC or Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
  • Clear understanding of GMPs, HACCP and regulatory requirements, such as USDA and FDA.
  • Experience in audits involving BRC, SQF, or other Global Food Safety Initiative certification.
  • Experience in managing internal and external audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team-based, collaborative environment.
  • Proven understanding and use of root cause problem solving skills and statistical analysis.
  • Good personal computing skills with Windows and related Microsoft software.
  • Highly motivated and self directed.
