Turkish Café Au Lait

Yield: 2 servings


  • 1 cup New England Coffee (brewed strong), chilled
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom, ground

In a small saucepan, combine the milk, half-and-half, sugar and cardamom. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved, and let cool. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve set over a small pitcher. Stir in the coffee and chill the mixture, covered for 20 minutes (or until cold). Serve with ice.
