New England Coffee recognized for donations to troops in Iraq
November 2006

In recognition of coffee donations to U.S. Army troops stationed in Iraq, New England Coffee Company was presented with an award by Lieutenant Colonel John D. Hall. In recognition, New England Coffee Company received an American Flag and the crest of the 6th Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Regiment.

The certificate on the back of the flag case reads:

To all who shall see the presents, greeting:
Know ye that this flag was flown over the United States Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq.
On the 4th of July 2006
And is presented to
The New England Coffee Company
In grateful appreciation of their support of our Soldiers deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom

Hall was stationed in the International Zone in Baghdad, from September 2005 until late August 2006. During this time, he and his team managed the reconstruction effort of the International Zone. This involved the restoration of essential services such as clean water and electricity, as well as working closely with the fledgling Iraqi government to strengthen the infrastructure.

Hall acknowledged the generosity New England Coffee by stating, "Knowing we have your support keeps us going day to day, and makes the sacrifices worthwhile. Thank you for continuing to think of us!"
