Celebrating Bike Fridays in Boston

August 2009

For Summer 2009, Mayor Thomas M. Menino had a vision for the city of Boston to become vibrant and healthy. To help achieve this vision, he put together an event called Bike Fridays to encourage residents to leave their cars at home and bike to work three Fridays out of the summer. Convoys lead by experienced bikers and the Boston Police department originated from various locations throughout metro-Boston and finished at Boston's City Hall Plaza. Awaiting the bikers at City Hall Plaza was a fun celebration including free breakfast, bike expo, free samples and more!

On Friday, July 31st, New England Coffee proudly served over 300 cups of fresh brewed Energy Coffee at Bike Fridays to help kick start the work day for all the bikers that participated.

New England Coffee conducted a raffle for consumers to have the chance to win a Try Me Iced glass. And the winners are…
