An Extraordinary Team
Whether he’s driving a forklift in the plant or out on the road visiting with customers, Chris Faison, New England Coffee’s Boston Sales Representative, gets the job done.
New England Coffee’s extraordinary sales team is out in the field prospecting for new customers and making sure that every current customer is happy with the products they receive and the service provided. For Chris, he has worked at New England Coffee for 28 years. “At first I drove a forklift,” he says. “Then one day one of the truck drivers didn’t show up, and the deliveries had to get made, so I was the go-to guy, and I became a driver.” He also worked in the factory at night, helping to package coffee, and then he moved into sales. “I’ve learned this business, and this company, from the ground up.”
“I love the people here, and I love being out on the road, meeting different people from different businesses every day. I’m in my car every morning at four o’clock, visiting our accounts. The biggest thing I hear from everyone I visit is how our quality has held up over all these years and how great our customer service is. That’s why we have the long-term relationships we have with our customers.”
In 28 years, Chris has seen New England Coffee grow and prosper. “We started in one building and now we have five,” he says, “and we have another warehouse now in Wilmington, Massachusetts. We’ve all put in a lot of hard work, so we are continually growing and it shows. In my time here, the biggest change that I’ve seen is the success of flavored coffee. I remember when flavored coffee really took off. I was still working in the factory at night then, and Hazelnut and French Vanilla were new and growing fast. It really changed our business.”
Working for a family owned company means a lot to Chris. “They make you feel at home, like you’re a real part of their family,” he says. “I’ve been privileged to work for decades at this company. They’ve been good to me, and I’ve been able to take care of my family and raise my kids. It’s been a really good experience.
So why New England Coffee? “I believe customers choose our brand because of the high quality of our products, the many varieties we offer, and the great service we provide,” says Chris. “But mostly because we have a great team here. That’s what we all love the most.”
