WAREHOUSE 2ND SHIFT SUPERVISOR - WILMINGTON, MA, DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Our Wilmington, MA, distribution center is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our 2nd shift team. Candidates must have supervisory experience, strong communication and coaching skills, and be highly organized.

In this role you will manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by ensuring performance metrics are met, monitoring shipping and receiving procedures, cycle counting and resolving discrepancies timely. Participate in personnel practices including hiring, training, coaching and performance reviews. Maintain a positive, safe and clean environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements: high school diploma/GED; 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a warehouse environment; dependable and approachable leader with demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively; highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment consistently meeting accuracy and productivity goals; display an exceptional customer service attitude; strong computer skills with warehouse management system proficiency.

FACILITY ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY (EHS) MANAGER

The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager will develop and manage plant environmental health and safety programs and serve as the subject matter expert to ensure a safe working environment and minimize the risk for accidents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, implements and maintains all site specific policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and company policies.
  • Ensures that required regulatory permits are reviewed, updated and acquired, reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, recordkeeping) are met.
  • Participates in formal EHS reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and changes in site processes. Works with contractors on equipment installations/modifications.
  • Leads incident investigations, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans. Analyzes accident data to identify trends and accident types that can be prevented.
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies relating to compliance and/or enforcement issues.
  • Educates, fosters and supports organizational commitment to EHS performance by training managers and employees in work site safety practices, promoting plant safety by working with all departments to analyze current situation and recommending safety improvements to include a safety culture. Ensures all applicable safety and occupational health annual training activities are conducted.
  • Assists management in all facility workers’ compensation claims.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related science degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience in environmental health and safety.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing desired.
  • Professional HSE certification preferred (GSP, ASP, CSP).
  • Demonstrated results in developing, implementing and maintaining effective EHS programs.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to interpret EHS regulations, standards, and best practices as they pertain to facilities and operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical details in management meetings, plant meetings, and in training sessions.
  • Solid understanding of state and federal environmental compliance and workers’ compensation laws.
  • Demonstrated & effective skills associated with report writing, database use, web-based tools and spreadsheet creation.
  • Ability to identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risk appropriately.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20%.
